The next BAPA meeting is on Wednesday, Jan 6th, at the Marie Callender's In Serramonte Mall. (See Meetings for directions.) Just off 280 and near the Dump.
The social half hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. Please come to eat and socialize at 6:30. We'll be presumably be talking about safety reports from the winter and discussing ideas and general schedule for activities next year.
Our guest speaker will be Julie Spiegler, talking about flying (not just competing) at the Rat Race.

Another year, another BAPA election....
Thanks to everyone who showed their support for our officers by casting a ballot in this uncontested election. We had a 15.5% voter turnout. All nominees have been elected, with no write-in votes cast this year.

It's time to renew your BAPA membership - please complete by end of February to be eligible for BAPA events and invitations. After you've logged in, please review your member info to ensure it's correct and up-to-date. Remember that now all BAPA membership information is stored in the website user system. If you are an Instructor, T3, or Observer and want to be listed on the website, you need to check "List on Web" in the "Additional Info" section. Whatever email and phone numbers you list will also be automatically included. For instructors, the listing will also include the website and school/business you specify. For Observers, the sites you frequent are shown. Remember that you can select multiple "Rating" options by holding down the <CTL> key while you click. To pay your dues, simply use the online form to intiate your PayPal transaction (or prepare your payment by check): Renew Now (Note that if you are not already logged in, you will need to LOG IN to Renew. After you have logged in, the "Member Renewal" link will appear in the top global navigation as well as a "Membership Renewal" link in the User Menu in the Members Only area.) Newsflash
You can check your last renewed date by logging in, click "My Member Info" in the User Menu and then mouse over the grey "Edit" rectangle above your name and click "Edit Your Membership Details". Click the "Admin Details" tab to see the information logged for your last payment. Note that only you and the Officers can see this information. Click the "Cancel" button at the bottom of the screen if you don't make changes.
While you're editing your information, you should check to see that everything is correct and up-to-date!

I've seen a problem where you log in using Internet Explorer, but nothing seems to happen. It's likely related to cookies (how the browser stores you login info). If you experience this problem, try Tools > Internet Options > Delete cookies (which will unfortunately clear ALL your cookies). Or, try using Netscape or Firefox (which allows you to clear only specific cookies if you want).
