You can check your last renewed date by logging in, click "My Member Info" in the User Menu and then mouse over the grey "Edit" rectangle above your name and click "Edit Your Membership Details". Click the "Admin Details" tab to see the information logged for your last payment. Note that only you and the Officers can see this information. Click the "Cancel" button at the bottom of the screen if you don't make changes.
While you're editing your information, you should check to see that everything is correct and up-to-date!

This year the USA has two entrants to the famed Redbull X-Alps competition, Nate Scales and Honza Rejmanek. 
For those who are unfamiliar with the event, it is an insanely grueling race of hiking and paragliding from Austria to Monaco.
Honza spent many years flying and teaching in the Bay Area and are known to many of us. Dave Hanning will be his ground support crew, but they need financial support as well.

Hello BAPA Members. Brent Erdmann and I have been scheduling a lot of events for the next several months - you can see the list on the BAPA Event Calendar.
I am also listing the events below just to give you an idea what is coming up. Please see the BAPA calendar for details. Please note - I have included a couple of non-BAPA events as well on the list.

April 21-22 - Rain delayed XC League at Dunlap
May 5-6 - Anderson Flat fly-in
May 4-6 - Rain delayed Elk Mtn fly-in (TENT)
May 12-13 - XC League at location TBD
May 19-20 - BAPA Thermal Clinic
May 26 - 28 Memorial Day (Starthistle fly-in at Woodrat)
June 9-10 - XC League at Dunlap
June 16-22 - (Rat Race at Woodrat)
June 22-24 - Hat Creek fly-in

In the past many years, the club has held meetings every month. On some months there is more than enough club business to draw people in, but not always; and it is difficult to arrange entertainment for twelve meetings a year. Attendance has been irregular, so during the last meeting the officers huddled and decided to go to a bi-monthly meeting schedule. We think most of you will like this better, and hopefully we'll give you better reasons to come to the meeting. We will spit the meeting locations evenly between Milpitas and South San Francisco: SSF Jan, May, Sep Milpitas Mar, Jul, Nov Meanwhile, the Ridge Dancer will be coming out on the alternating months when we don't have meetings:

Mission Ridge is occasionally closed due to high fire danger. Please call the EBRPD fire hotline at 510-544-2222 before going to the preserve during fire season (late summer). The recording is updated every day. FYI, The EBRPD rangers determine the fire danger with a combination of relative humidity, temperature, wind speed, and amount of available fuel (dry grass). Note: Mission Ridge is in a different weather cell than Mt. Diablo. |
