If you're reading this you've likely noticed that I'm making some changes to the website. Most notable is the increase in width, so we have room for more content on the front page - 1024 is a pretty reasonable standard these days. Here's a quick update on some of the highlights.
Most importantly - any member can submit an article for the website! After you login, you'll see "Submit Website Article" in the User Menu of the Members Only area. Write up your article and submit it using the form. I'll get notified that the article is waiting, so I can publish it to the appropriate area. You can also edit your Articles under the "My Info and Articles" menu option - check out the tab below your info.
It's a pain to upload images specifically to this server, so we're taking advantage of Flickr's API and a module the site includes for showing images from a Flickr account. I had to hack it to support more than one Flickr account, so right now it shows the SFBAPA account and one other (currently Advanced Paragliding's, since I already had that info). Random images from those accounts will be shown each time the page refreshes. I figured we could rotate the "guest" account each month or so - if you're interested in having your images shown, please

I've added the ability to subscribe to our RSS feed, so you can see the latest news in your favorite RSS reader. Since I don't use an RSS reader, you'll have to tell me if it's working or not :-)
The Classified Ads are a beneficiary of the increased real estate on the front page. You'll now be able to quickly see if there is anything new you might be interested in.
I'll be making some more changes over the coming weeks, so we have the RidgeDancer content directly integrated into the website. I apologize in advance for the hiccups that will no doubt be visible along the way (don't ask me why the Site Guide menu appears on the My Info page - I'm still working on that!).
If you're interested in helping to update/maintain any of the website sections (Site Guide volunteers anyone?), please
