According to the Battalion Chief for the Los Padres National Forest and Ventana Wilderness all roads will be closed into the Spring due to unforeseeable slides that will result from this Winter's rainfall following the significant Summer fires. A lot of work is going on there currently (replacing bridges and clam shell work to keep the main roadways clear). Conditions may improve (depending on weather, etc).
